Although designed to have a classic look, the rod is built on a high modulus carbon VTX45 blank to give it its crispness and durability and offer the overall feel of a modern, high performance rod. The Rapala CountDown spinning rod is great for light lure fishing both in fresh and saltwater and is well capable of handling bigger fish that unexpectedly find themselves on the business end of the rod.
