La maille fine est aussi présente autour du cadre, ce qui limite son usure par frottement sur la surface du cadre. La maille caoutchouc présente de multiples avantages, les hameçons se plantent difficilement dedans, elle sèche très rapidement, garde peu les odeurs et surtout préserve au mieux la peau du poisson.
